Tasks / Responsibilities
• Preparation and correct serving of breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Handle own station with approx. 5 to 6 tables independently
• Taking orders from guests and carrying 3–4 plates to serve tables from the kitchen
• Able to fulfill all side jobs & preparation for the Service Operation (setting tables, checking
stock, cleaning and polishing equipment)
• Handle guest complaints, special requests and inform supervisor
• Participate in all safety drills
• Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor, e.g. Teatime, luggage service, loading,
and garbage off-loading
• Assist with monthly inventories as per supervisor’s instructions
• Assist other departments as per supervisor’s instructions
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a comparable position
• Experience in a 4* or 5* operations (hotel or cruise ships) is advantage
• A completed apprenticeship or specialized training in hospitality is an advantage
• Ability to perform in the Restaurant and Bar as per operation’s needs
• Ability to carry 3-4 plates to serve assigned tables
• Able to adapt to the daily changes on a la carte menu and take order from guests accordingly
• Able to clean assigned table between meals during service without using tray.
• Able to take orders for drinks and carry bar tray with drinks.
• Physically fit to perform daily work performance which involved carrying food and using
staircases between kitchen and restaurant
• Fit for duty and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including carrying plates up/down on
staircases and lifting, and carrying heavy items if required
Fit for duty and ability to carry plates up/down on staircases during service
• Familiar with a multicultural working environment
• Familiar with travelling in Europe independently
• Good English and strong basic German are required
