Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently handle the check-in and check-out process for guests, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
Inquiries: Address guest inquiries and provide information about ship amenities, services, and activities in German and English.
Concierge Services: Assist with special requests, including reservations for dining, shore excursions, and spa services.Communication:
Language Skills: Provide clear and professional communication in German, handling all guest interactions in their preferred language. Translate information as needed between German-speaking guests and English-speaking staff.
Documentation: Prepare and process guest-related documents, including registration forms and billing statements, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
Guest Relations:Problem Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns promptly and effectively, maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
Feedback: Collect guest feedback and report any recurring issues or suggestions for improvement to the Front Office Manager.Administrative Duties:
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and transactions.
Reports: Prepare and submit daily reports on guest activities and issues as required.Operational Support:
Coordination: Work closely with other departments, such as housekeeping, dining, and entertainment, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Training: Assist in training new reception staff, particularly in handling German-speaking guests and using relevant systems and procedures.Safety and Security:
Protocols: Follow all safety and security protocols, including the handling of guest data and emergency procedures.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations regarding guest services.Qualifications:
Language Skills: Fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
Experience: Previous experience in a receptionist or guest services role, preferably within the luxury hospitality or cruise industry.
Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Proficiency with computer systems and office software.
Customer Service: Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing a high level of guest satisfaction and handling complaints professionally.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions:Environment: Work will be conducted at the front desk or reception area of the cruise ship, which may include long hours standing or sitting.
Hours: Flexibility is required, as shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
