Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Service:
- Take and deliver drink orders promptly and accurately from guests seated at the bar or in designated areas.
- Serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring high standards of presentation and quality.
Guest Experience:
- Provide attentive and personalized service, engaging with guests to understand their preferences and needs.
- Create a welcoming and refined atmosphere, ensuring every interaction reflects the luxury and sophistication of the cruise line.
Bar Area Management:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including tables and surrounding spaces.
- Assist with restocking and managing inventory, reporting any shortages or issues to the bar supervisor.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of all beverage items and equipment.
Compliance and Safety:
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Verify guest ages to comply with legal drinking age requirements and ensure safe alcohol consumption.
- Adhere to all shipboard safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with bar staff, waitstaff, and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient service operations.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on service standards and new procedures.
Administrative Duties:
- Handle financial transactions accurately, including processing payments and reconciling cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintain accurate records of orders and guest requests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a bar waiter or in a similar customer-facing role in a high-end or luxury setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of beverage service standards, including cocktails, wines, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service skills with a polished, professional demeanor and a strong ability to engage with guests.
- Strong communication skills in both English and German, with the ability to interact effectively with international guests.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and handle high-pressure situations with grace.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service and knowledge of relevant regulations is a plus.

- This position requires living and working onboard the cruise ship for extended periods.
- Accommodation and meals are provided onboard.
