• Key Responsibilities:

  • Bar Service:

    • Greet guests and take beverage orders in a friendly and professional manner.
    • Prepare and serve a wide range of drinks, including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring precision and high presentation standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies and managing inventory.

  • Restaurant Service:

    • Provide attentive and efficient service to guests in the restaurant, including taking food and drink orders, serving meals, and clearing tables.
    • Ensure that all dishes are presented to the highest standards and meet guest specifications.
    • Handle guest inquiries and special requests, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences with professionalism.

  • Guest Experience:

    • Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, enhancing their dining experience with personalized service.
    • Address and resolve any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
    • Engage with guests to ensure their needs are met and their dining experience is exceptional.

  • Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with bar staff, waitstaff, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure seamless service.
    • Assist with training new team members and share knowledge of service standards and procedures.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute to service improvements and operational efficiency.

  • Compliance and Safety:

    • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
    • Ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements and promote responsible beverage consumption.
    • Follow all shipboard safety protocols and emergency procedures.

  • Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a bar and/or restaurant, preferably in a luxury or high-end environment.
  • Knowledge of beverage and food service standards, including cocktails, wines, and fine dining etiquette.
  • Customer service skills with a polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Communication skills in both English and German, with the ability to interact effectively with international guests.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service is an advantage.

Additional Information:

  • This position requires living and working onboard the cruise ship for extended periods.
  • Accommodation and meals are provided onboard.
  • A pre-employment medical examination and background check are required.
