Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages including cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Ensure all drinks are made to the highest standard, with attention to detail and presentation.
Guest Service:
- Provide attentive and personalized service to all guests, addressing their beverage preferences and needs.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Bar Management:
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and restocking supplies as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or issues to the bar manager.
- Ensure all bar equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Verify the age of guests to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Handle and store all alcoholic beverages and supplies in accordance with ship policies and regulations.
Guest Interaction:
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and pairings based on guest preferences.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other bar staff and departments to ensure smooth service operations.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on service standards and procedures.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records of beverage sales and transactions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and reconciling cash and credit card transactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bartender or barkeeper in a high-end or luxury environment.
- In-depth knowledge of cocktail recipes, wine and spirits, and beverage presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a polished and professional demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- This position requires living and working on a cruise ship for extended periods.
