FIRST (DOCUMENTATION) PURSER F/M

  • Know and adhere to company regulations, SOP’s and ISM, especially where relevant to the ships operation.
  • To constantly operate in the interests of the Owner and Supplier.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date manual for completion of responsibilities as laid out in job description.
  • Preparation and upkeep of all department of trade and industry statutory documentation
  • Responsible for the daily operation of the Purser’s Office.
  • Port Clearance and Local Immigration and Customs formalities
  • Responsible for the ISM administration and filing
  •   Minimum of 22 years old
    • Strong accounting skills (payroll).
    • Experience in cash handling procedures.
    • Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge (Advanced knowledge of Excel)
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar job
    • Self-motivated person with the ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
    • Good organisational and administration skills.
    • Ability to communicate well with crewmembers and officers.
    • Self assured and calm manner towards staff, crew and authorities
    • Overall understanding of Customs, Immigration and Accounting procedures.
    • Ability to work under duress and on own initiative and is reliable
    • Trustworthy person, maintaining confidentially at all times.
    • Ability to motivate employees
    • Very well-groomed appearance
